Mom...It's Cancer is the tale of a mother's sixteen-month journey supporting her 27-year-old daughter through breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. It is a raw, real and sometimes funny account of how the two women experienced and managed their day-to-day existence as they navigated the unknown. The author found that although all women diagnosed with breast cancer at any age share a common thread, there are many challenges faced by young women that are very different and came as a surprise to both of them and she wants to offer up this information so that others can be more prepared for what may come. By sharing her story the author hopes to provide an emotional roadmap for mothers who hear this life-changing, devastating news when their child is "much too young", and a tool for everyone in their lives to use in trying to provide support when they are feeling lost. Most of all "Mom...It's Cancer" it is a story of a love and courage in the face of deepest despair.
